Release Date: Nov-2025

Red Mountain Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon typically share a flavor profile of dark and red fruits, but differ in their specific nuances, with Franc leaning toward red berries and savory herbs, and Sauvignon often displaying richer black fruit and chocolate notes. Both are known for their bold structure, high acidity, and complex, savory notes reflecting the region's terroir, but Cabernet Franc is often described as more elegant and aromatic, while Cabernet Sauvignon is frequently bolder and more powerful.

A tribute to my grandmother: her appreciation of the arts and the value she placed on education. This wine has gone through cold soak and extended maceration resulting in 33 days of skin & seed contact to maximize anthocyanin, phenol, and tannin extraction.

Comments

“Rounding out all my tasting of all the now bottle aged wines was the Cabernet Franc; my wife’s favorite. The wine was approachable and fully ready for drinking now (as you might expect with 31 months in barrel). The wine may develop slightly with some cellaring; but not as much as I would expect with Cabernet Sauvignon.” – Al P. Winemaker 11/29/25
